'Red Letter Days'

From a bona fide fox chaser, Rory Knight Bruce's odyssey of hunting around the British Isles is a true celebration of the sport and the people who love it. With illustrations by leading equestrian artist, Judith Stowell, this is a joy to read.
In Red Letter Days, Rory Knight Bruce has not just written a book about hunting in Britain today but has taken his personal odyssey into the heart and soul of the countryside and its people. Conceived at the Berkeley Hunt kennels and raised by his father's kennel huntsman, it could be said that the author was bred to hunting. That he has also immersed himself in a life of writing making him uniquely placed to tell the stories in this book, acutely observed but with real care and feeling for both hunting and countryside. Red Letter Days is not the journey of a die-hard huntsman but more a voyage in the traditions of Cobbett and Kilvert.
